Should we buy roof-rack crossbars from the dealer or elsewhere?

We need crossbars for the roof-rack for our 2007 Honda Odyssey mini-van. It costs $265 installed at the dealer. Is this worth it, or should we buy independent (Thule/ Yakima) systems? Any advice on value or sturdiness, and ease of installation would be appreciated.

my advice.buy other than a dealership!...privately or an independant company...dealerships can and do sell their products at huge mark ups!...alot of auto detail stores can sell and install yer rack for alot less and you can still get the same warranty...
