It's been broken into 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I want to hang onto it for another couple of months but in the meanwhile I'd like to repay the kindness of my friendly local scumbags. Things I had in mind were... scalpel hidden under the seat cover, me hiding in the boot with a cosh, dog poo on the door handle. Of course, if I did that I'd have to go in through the passenger door. Any more non-lethal (preferably) ideas for sweet sweet vengeance?

Now.....you might want to do something like put paper with an ink powder on the seat. When the person breaks in, they touch it and their fingerprints go everywhere....there is your evidence.

Try putting a camera on it and catch them red handed. Preferably the camera is in your home and pointing out at the car. Then you can go to the police with it and stop it for good.

unfortunatley if you did boobytrap your car..some scumbag would sue you for the pain and distress he suffered whilst breaking in ..personally i would like to wire mine up to the mains, or chop thier hands off.try connect the door handle or some part of the car to battery live, give the fuckers a little shock, whilst a friend was renovating a property he had bought but wasn't living in he kept getting broken into so he left a window slightly open with a pair of metal step ladders that were wired to the mains next to the window on the inside. someone must of tried to get in because the ladders were found on the floor and nothing happened since

Keep it completely stripped of any valuables and leave the doors unlocked - at least that should help minimize damage

A way around it is to post a warning sign. For the sign to be effective in court though you will need a proof of the date the sign was posted. A photo of the sign (make sure your car is in the pic) with a date stamp from the photolab should be sufficient but I would local laws first to find out if a dated photo can be used as evidence.
