Strange vibration?

Question:
Lately my car has developed a vibration in the power train. It occurs on slow to moderate accelleration. I have had the tires balanced and rotated, the engine tuned and the transmission checked by a transmission specialist. Everthing checks out fine. There is no problem with the front end or the suspension. I have exhausted my options re things to try. The vibration is not that of a serious nature (yet!) but it is quite bothersome. Vehicle is; 1995 Merc Grand Marquis. The car has always rode like a Linc., smooth as glass. Could use some help from all you mechanics out there. I am at my wits end!
