Question:
The van I am looking at has a bit of rust starting on the bottom seams of the driver and passenger doors. How long do you think it will be before the rust takes over, if properly taken care of from now on?
Answers:
especially the dodge
personally however i prefer toyota sienna because the engines run smoothly
i predict (since its winter and u'll probably be driving people around, if u have kids) that the car won't last very long especially because of the moisture from the warm garage and the cold outside
if you park outside, you can always be sure you're car's appearance won't last long
but then again, dodge is an unpredictable car
the run time should last u at least 10 - 15 years with proper yearly maintenance
but if you're worried about the appearance and rust
i think about 4 - 7 years before the rust takes over
hope this has helped
p.s. you could try to reduce the asking price by showing them this rust and telling them that you want a damage deduction if you're going to buy the car
What do you think of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI against the Lancer Evolution?
good luck with the new car =)
I've seen a few questions about keys locked in cars? Do the police still unlock vehicles?
That is suprising that a 2003 would already be rusting. I would say it would take a while for the rust to take over. But before you buy this van, get a Carfax report. Regardless of what the salesperson says to you, it might have been in a flood or another accident. Is a Mazda RX-8 a reasonable car for a 16 year old?
The dodge caravan is quite and old design, so why not look into another make and model of van? If you go and buy a Honda Odessey it will hold its value way better then the caravan.
