Could this hurt my car?

Question:
I just started driving. (I started maybe a month ago). For the first few weeks, I would drive well, and slowly get up to the speed limit. But here lately, I've been pushing the pedal all the way down to get up to the speed limit. Whether I'm on the road, or at a stop light, I still do it. What I was wondering is, could this hurt my car? As much fun as it is to do that, i don't want to do anything that could hurt my car...

Answers:

Do you know how to park, reverse and drive? Explain.?

You are putting unnecessary stress on the engine and wasting fuel. Pushing the pedal all the way down is for when you really need it, not for routine driving.

I recieved a DMV hold on my drivers license from ca not sure what this is?

BOBO

I have cp in the right side of my body and i was wondering if there is anyway i can drive a car?

Hurt your car? Only if it is older and not in great condition, but you better have a deep pocket, because you are going to use a lot more gas. Also, with one month's experience, you aren't going to have a clue, at that moment, if you have pedal to the metal and a child runs out in front of you.

How do you remove a car dealership logo from you car?

if your doing that and your a new driver it seems your car is pretty slow so you dont have to worry. slow cars are tuff to break that way they dont make enough power to break anything so you dont have to worry. get a faster car and youll have even more fun driving. just learn to fix it when it breaks.

As a Truck Driver, where is the best place to travel?

It hurts your gas mileage and does put extra stress on the car. You shouldn't really do this unless you are passing on a two lane road when you need to punch it. If you have an older engine especially.

What should I name my car?

Good question, and i am glad you are concerned about it enough to ask. There is hope for you.
The most tempting thing to do when you are driving a car, no matter how long you have been driving, is to take your emotion, or frame of mind and have it affect your driving.
The reason people do this is simple. They are hiding behind a car! They have power, they have instant superiority over anything on foot, and somethings on wheels.
Cars even the playing field for some. If you can drive fast, and whip around those who piss you off, you can SHOW THEM WHOS BOSS. In the meantime, you risk killing yourself or someone else over something as stupid as your current mood.
Most road rage drivers are short guys who deal with life everyday feeling inferior...they get behind the wheel of a car and instantly, they look like the tall guys and have the same power to do harm and look cool as anyone else.
The car is not the place to make your self esteem feel good. The car is not the place to establish how cool you are by driving fast. If you want to look cool, buy a cool car and drive it sensibly.
Most people have found, that if they deal with what pisses them off, face to face, they feel less desire to drive fast and take the days frustration out on the gas pedal and innocent people who had nothing to do with your mood.
Just remember this.when you are in traffic and upset at the person in front of you for driving too slow...the person behind YOU, is pissed at you too and blaming you. The real problem is 1 mile away and you dont know who is to blame.
Just remember that you will get there much faster in your car than you will on foot, no matter how slow you end up driving.

Is it too easy to get a drivers license in America?

It depends on how you shift even if it's an auto. You have to let off the gas a little to let the gears shift correctly or you might over rev, and your teeth and auto clutch will wear down. In manual, if you are a bad shifter you will wear don't the teeth and clutch. Heat and pressure is also a slight problem. Cars don't like heat and pressure. If it's an auto your tranny will die before your engine. Your suspension and tire might become uneven. Your drive shaft, axles, or engine internals (gaskets, crank shaft, connecting rods) might break from excessive pressure and the valves might melt from excessive heat but newer cars can handle it. If your car is new and you shift correctly, your not doing to much more damage as long as your maintaining your car properly (oil, all filter, tires, correct fuel, all that stuff) because all a pedal does if let air in your engine and the ecu takes care of everything else, but you are shortening the life of your car because your speeding up your cars life. It's like a movie, if you fast forward it will end earlier. If you think about it though, flooring your car is actually better to a certain point because the ecu responds much better at full throttle and warm air and fuel mixes better so it'll be more efficient but there's always the chance that your car just sucks and it will get hurt.

How MUCH HORSE POWER do you need to be able to do a BURN OUT?

Basically your not hurting your car directly if it's newer model and you shift right and maintain, but your increasing the chance of your car getting hurt when you do that.

Ugly Cars?

You force the transmission to automatically go into a lower gear for speed--how and why is according to conditions---blending into traffic takes all your judgement skills--and it might require using that much pedal----if you are in rain or on snow and ice--it may cause a loss of control and cause an accident. The whole idea is to get you going in a safe way at a safe speed to merge with comfort. The control and judgement is up to you. Over speeding the motor is probably impossible in todays computer controlled cars. Check the oil and tire pressure once a week. Check the lights and drive with care. Congratulations on your new license--use it responsibly--remember--you are in control at all times.
