What do you do when you flood your engine?

Question:
I hear you just wait for a while and then its magically all better, like it never happened, if this is true, why is it so? ^-^ does like the gas evaporate or sumthin? thanks everyone in advance! :D

Answers:

Is it possible to "drift race" a mid-engine, or rear engine car? Such as a Porsche or a Ferrari?

Flooding happens when fuel condenses in the intake manifold. In bad cases you can look down the carburetor and actually see pools of raw gas. (not a good idea BTW) By waiting a little while the gas evaporates and the engine can start.

What can i do?

The gas vapor evaporates and its all better.

What is the purpose of getting your car lowered?

Wait about 30 minutes and try again. The reason is that you have filled the carburetor with to much gas "flooded it". Once you stop trying the gas slowly dissipates, evaporates and falls back down into the lines.
