Question:
it looks like it comes out at a really high pressure, but i dont know what it is. it's probably something really dumb and pointless.
Answers:
Do you have a nickname for your car?
simple answer. you have mostly likely seen a muscle car with nitrous. the mist you are seeing is from a nitrous purge valve.that would be nos. it cleans out their lines be4 they race, so that cr*p in the lines dont go to their engine
Why do semi trucks make loud noises as they drive by on the freeway?
probably NAWWWSSSSSSS!! lolWhat is the best stuff for your money to make a muscle car faster?
The slot is RAM air. To ram the air through the air cleaner. Thats what I was told 34 years ago.You mean the air that goes in? That is usually a "ram air system" that is designed to enter the throttle body at a high rate of speed rather then the normal air intake systems, more air means more power..It could also be the "nos" system installed in the car
I need to rent a car, what should I do? HELP ME PLEASE!?
The first one is right, it's nos.Where can i find a car or truck for less than $3,000?
Older muscle cars at least some modified ones, had their fan clutches removed only to be replaced by the flexible fan blade fan assemblies.these had no give...so the faster the engine spun, the more air these fans would move. Can i put a turbo on my mini bike?
The air you feel is the air the cooling fan is drawing through the radiator.
Leave the fan clutches in place, you get better cooling, mileage and power overall.
There purging the nitrous system It's not pointless and stupid. It's to make sure the system is armed. I've seen ricer boys hook up a small nitrous system that just shoots out from the back of the hood without hooking it up to the engine. None that is dumb and pointless but so are ricer cars in general.
Do you like enviromentally friendly cars??
There are no dumb questions.Your question is confusing to us all.
Air needs to come out of the hood, because air enters the engine compartment through the grill and radiator. It usually exits at the bottom of the windshield, at the rear of the hood. But this is true of all hoods, not just muscle cars.
And, how can you see the air? Unless there is some smoke or steam in the air, you won't see it! You are not making sense here.
Can I carry a sailboard on top of a 4-door compact sedan? Have you done this?
If the muscle car hood has scoops on it (?), they are there to pull air INTO the engine, not out of it!
More info please!
What motivates people to take their classic car to a car show?
If its a spray of mist it into the air that looks like water shooting up then its Nitrous oxide (nitro / NoS). its a gas thats mixed together with the regualr fuel either through the carborator or fuel injectors or straight to the cylinders, but anywase its put through the engine giving it around a 200 hoursepower boost with the flip of a switch. but it cant be run all the time because of the massive ammounts of heat and compression it produces. If its that then they purge the lines to make sure there is no air in them before a run and u see the nitro come out of the purge ports as a spray.More Questions & Answers ...
