Put baking soda on it then pour some vinegar on it. It will clean it all up, then rinse it with water. You can use coke or pepsi too but they can leave a sticky residue if you don't get it rinsed well enough.Go to a checkers or some automotive place and they have brackets to hold your battery in place.

a little bit of lemon juice to clean the battery, and a bungee cord to secure the battery, thats wat i been usingIf the battery has been leaking acid, then due to battery not being properly bolted down, then it may not last long.. but you can clean the battery by sprinkling baking soda on it, and then rinsing it with water, then repeat...but if your battery is cracked in any place.. I suggest replacing it..
