AAA refuses to tow.....how much is it to hire 4X4 towing?
Believe it or not the fact it's a diesel does not change how much it can pull. The spec for a 2000 reg will be much the same as for a new one. They officially pull 2000kg braked , and 750kg unbraked. But remember that if you want to tow a bit more just load up the van. Sounds crazy, but you need weight to pull weight. Unofficially i reckon you could pull about two and a half ton (2500kg) with out to much trouble.
what is the lockers for a 4x4 truck?
The G.T.W (gross train weight) is 3500kg so if the van & payload weigh 2500kg then you can pull a trailer weight of 1000kg.does the devices they are selling on ebay to boost hp with a resistor for like 8 bucks work?
There are several weights displayed on the VIN plate under the VIN number. The first weight is the Gross Vehicle Weight in Kgs. This is the maximum permissible weight the vehicle can be on a weighbridge. The second weight is the Gross Train Weight and is the max weight the vehicle and trailer combined can be, as long as the trailers on max weight isn't exceeded. The other two weights are for the front and rear axles.
Why do motorists in Britain and the USA drive on opposite sides of the road?
is this van the last of the smiley faced vans or the first of the new shape?you will need a tacho to pull a trailer that takes the train weight(max weight of van and loaded trailer)over 3.5tons commercially.
If the trailer is braked the van should pull 2 tons comfortably.
