Question:
I have a towbar but I've no idea if my car would be up to towing a 'van, being a diesel I suspect it might be OK as the clutch, brakes etc are also strong but it's such a little car! Any thoughts? It's only a smallish 'van.
Answers:
What happens if you have a permit & got caught driving without a licensed driver?
Your car will probably get the van moving however you will overheat every fluid in it. You will also have a tough time stopping which will be very unsafe. Look in your owners manual for details. Remember your stopping twice the weight with your standard brake system.Who else thought that SeaLand trucks were carrying fish to Sea World?
I guess it depends on the van. If you still have the owners manual it'll tell you the maximum recommended towing weight. I suspect it wouldn't be much more than 500kg at the most. It also depends upon the tow bar and its weight rating.More Questions & Answers ...
