why do truck drivers often flash their lights on the interstate?
If you are talking about a regular American, or Toyota or Nissan pickup truck then there are kits available to make the windows power. What they do it have their own motor assembly that goes in the bottom of the door and through a shaft and gear it attaches to where the window handle used to go on the crank of the regular manual window regulator. Then a small trim piece goes over where the crank used to go and the window switches install in a pod on each door. The kits used to around 100-200 bucks I think and you can check the back of the "low rider and truck mods" mags where they advertise such. Also J.C. Whitney used to sell them and probably still does. www.jcwhitney.com is their website address. They are not hard to install as a friend of mine did his 93 Chevy half ton and they are still working fine after almost 10 years of use. With the exception of the cover over the crank holes and the aftermarket window switch panels you can't tell the difference from factory in the way they work or look. How much would it cost to get a car painted?
Are you talking side windows? sun roof? or rear window?.... if it was the door's, I'd go to the junk yard, and get a set of powered doors, and then have them painted... so much less of a headache...probably cheaper in the long run as wellMore Questions & Answers ...
