Question:
I hit a raccoon with my car, I was only about 4 miles from home after I hit the raccoon, so I continued to drive home, when I got there I relized that my radiator was destroyed and the car was running without any antifreeze, the car was overheated, I repaired the radatior, the car started just fine, I ran the car for about a 1/8 mile then it dies and would not start again, I relized that my car was spitting antifreeze out the tailpipes. My car is currently at a body shop getting a quote for all the body damage, but I am not sure if my insurance company is going to cover the motor or not. If not do you think I could get this covered under my car's warranty or would they consider this abuse since I drove the car for 4 miles without any antifreeze and overheated the engine? Please help, this is a really expensive car.

Why do you think special import cars are not brought to the US?
NO! most people dont realize just how restrictive the warranty on their car is. and it will not cover any damage done buy hitting anything. if you have full cov. ins. that is your only hope.I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think it would be covered. Warranties, unless stated otherwise, only cover defective equipment. Your problem sounds like it is the result of physical damage which isn't covered.
In the car it has a 1, 2, and 3 gears. what is that for? and power button?
I'm afraid I agree, this is not likely to be under warranty. Hopefully your insurance will cover it... it was 4 miles, not 400 after all. The other option, although a bit of a long shot, is that you might find a dealer willing to "good-will warranty" some of the work. Good luck.More Questions & Answers ...
