How many points will i gt on my liecense?
Your "friend" had a suspended license ( for violating traffic laws) and continued to drive anyway, and got caught. Obviously your "friend" thinks she is above the law. Clearly she has demonstrated that she is irresponsible behind the wheel. Why are we still using cars instead of hovercrafts?
At the least she will get a hefty fine, and probably her suspension will be extended. If she continues to drive on her suspended license the next time she is caught (and she will) her driving privilege may be revoked, and she may spend time in jail.
What happens if you accidently select reverse in an automatic whilst driving?
Find out why it is suspended. Also find out why she did not know about it. Every DMV sends out a warning letter to get the motorist to correct a pending problem. The most often case is when the motorist does not tell the DMV where they live or where they moved to. Try to take care of the problem before you go to court.Same thing happened when I was 18, I got a ticket for a suspended licence and I had to go to court and pay a $500 fine, I live in colorado so it might be different in illinois but more than likely she will have to pay a fine
If you had an accident with a leased car do you have to report it the leasing company? why?
The first thing to do is thank the officer. In most places she would have been calling home from the pay phone in the jail.Don't make excuses to the judge and try come up with a reason for him to believe that the kid will be responsible in the future.
If she drives again without a valid license she better like county food for a while.
I don't mean to be mean, but saying calming things and trying to make her feel good isn't going to help. She should be nervous and afraid. Don't try to help by shielding her from the world or the consequences her own actions.
