What is intercooled turbocharged engine?

Question:

Answers:

Why do American cars suck so bad?

Turbochargers and superchargers compress air before it enters the combustion chamber. With any gas, compressing it will increase the temperature. This reduces volume and in some cases could cause preignition. An inter-cooler brings the air temp. down before it is introduced into the engine. In some cases, as much as 100degrees F.

Working at Discount Auto / NAPA / ect?

An intercooler is a cooler that will reduce the temp of the compressed air fuel mixture which will help make the charge more dense and povide more power.
