Can I get an inverted car key made at Home Depot?

Question:
I say "inverted" because, unlike a regular car key whose details are on the outer part of the key, the details are on the middle.

Where has it gone?

My mom just got a new car and the key she got with it is like that, and I know how bad she is about losing one set of keys, but I've heard getting a key like that from a dealership is like $100.
Help?

How do you make a rubber band powered air plane?

Most of those keys are programmed for that specific vehicle. They have a resistor chip inside that the security system reads in order to start the car. You can probably get an uncut key blank off of eBay cheaper than the dealer, but it will need to be programmed and cut by the dealer. I know this because my Jetta has the same style key, and they only give you 1 key, but two keyless entry fobs. Hope this helps.

Can I lock my hubcaps?

No...Sorry you can't...I work at The Home Depot ..You have to go to the dealership..They always find a new way to make money..
