I hate them w all my heart, and I agree with you... why pay extra for something that simply uses extra energy when you don't need it? What I hate about them the most is at dusk or dawn or cloudy days, people w drl's wont turn on their lights because they already have the drl's.. but the lights on the back are not lighted! They rely too much in their lights. Or the older drivers that are driving at night and of course they can see on their front due to their daylights, but again.... you can't see them from behind because they forget to turn on their lights!
