I own a truck and a car I have thought of getting a motorcycle to save gas but in the area I live you get scared even in my truck, I like to take drives so I guess no price would stop my driving habitsIt's already there. I don't think i can cut anymore. I just filled my truck up and it was $56. That's a killer, but in San Fransico, I saw where it was up to $4 a gal.

I think the change needs to come from the federal govt.

What's the cheapest way to send a large heavy package (flat packed rabbit hutch) from Kent to Leeds?
When gas got so high that I would be able to make a car payment off the money that I'd save on gas with a hybrid. And if you're not driving conservatively now, then you're just foolish and wasting money and won't worry about the price of gas no matter how high it gets.Public Extortion...and towing services signed off by law enforcement?

At the current rate of gas, I want a Prius. They get great gas mileage and I think they're really cute. I am also considering taking over the family car, which, though very old, can run on canola oil, so I could fix up the looks and get a $5 tank of gas. But I think most people would rather pay $50 a gallon and drive their gas guzzlers than drive a tiny little Prius or SmartCar. Or even buy a car that runs on something other than gas.Do you know where I can find....?

In that, I mean I don't drive (I bike), AND I plan on getting a Smart Car as soon as they're released in the States.
I'd say about $3.50 (US). I will never buy a hybrid from Toyota, because it takes roughly 3 times the energy to create one and you are actually easier on the environment when driving a Hummer H3. The Hummer gets less MPG, but it takes much less to produce. Plus, it will outlast a Prius because the expected life of one is only 100k miles. That pure-gas 3.7L I5 will run for an estimated 250k.

Good Question! I recently have been asking my family & close friends the same question. Not just for the money, but also even more importantly our earth. I have made my decision already, the current gas price is just too outrageous!! I have minimized my vehicle use, trying only to use it for highly needed situations (i.e. groceries, distant trips, etc.). Other than that I try & use public transportation, carpooling, or ride my bike. I've even considered selling my car and strictly using public transportaton. But I'm still not ready to make that commitment...yet.Can someone recommend a good private driving instructor in the Ang Mo Kio area?
Sometimes when I pull into the gas station and pull that handle and start to pump gas...I think about a time when people who wanted to see change did something about it - show the masses they meant business and they were not going to be used and tossed to and fro again. That time was in Montgomery, when black people, tired of getting on a bus in the front, dropping their coins and then getting off to board the back of the bus. A people who made things happen by avoiding the busses - a time when not a lot of people had cars - and the collective action of the people resulted in the mass downfall of a metropolitan transportation system loosing millions of dollars - just because they found other ways to get to their destination. What if we, the American public, had the same gumption, desire to really see some change? I honestly believe that if we stopped buying gas - limit our transportation to a few people and the gas stopped flowing - they would see and hear and feel the real message. You cannot keep fooling around with our people and think we will continue to take it. We have become so placid - we don't stand up for anything, anymore! If we stopped buying their gas, they would be forced to lower the prices. I'll bet you could get all of them to the negotiating table then! It makes no sense and certainly is not fair that the oil "wizards' never suffer. Wrong or right - they clean up! Where is the fair in that policy? I have changed my driving habits. I don't go anywhere except to work and church. My car is parked. What was the Ford Model used in Casino Royale?

At nearly $4 per gallon (here in the SF Bay Area), I already have. I used to spend hours driving around the countryside just for the enjoyment of it. Nowadays, I live a half-mile from where I work and I drive as a little as possible. I'm averaging about a tank of gas every 6 weeks. I used to go through a tank about every 4 days. Why do PPL make their cars sound as loud as possible?
I wouldn't buy a different kind of car or anything, but I haven't been driving as much as I used to for probably the past year or 2. I combine my trips as much as possible. One good thing now is that I work near a major shopping center where Walmart, Target, Kohls and a grocery store are located. I shop at those 4 stores all the time and now I can just do it after work on my way home instead of making a special trip.In the Crunchy nut advert, does the woman controller say get him, or, get in!!?

Also not only gas prices but the enviroment, the oil and car companys can make cleaner burning cars they just dont because the oil co.s will loose money.

I was in a garage and a car fell on my head. How much can I claim for?
$5/gallon.In your opinion, what is the BEST make of vehicle & what is the worst?
Well I like my car, I like being able to go places near and far when I want to. i don't always have time for the bus, or it doesn't go exactly where i want to go. i'm too lazy to walk far, and where i live currently there's not too much within reasonable walking distance. I will learn to save more of my income for gas. the way i look at it, people probably should cut down on driving, but there's other wasteful habits people have - smoking (which i do), eating unhealthy crap, watching too much tv, video games, not recycling - I think this stuff is all wasteful too and are all things people can change without altering their lives or being really inconvenienced or spending money.BMW vs Mercedes which is better?
the day oil becomes a thing of the past, and that day isn't too far away, i'll deal and adapt just like everyone will have to. we'll have alternate fuels, but really it's up to our governments to improve and encourage excellent public transportation. i'd take a bus or a subway if it would come in front of my house every 10 minutes, and it took me to where i wanted to go reasonably fast. none of this once every half hour, take an hour to get somewhere 20 minutes away, not running at certain times bull.

I'm actually lucky enough to work close to home. Gas is flippin expensive! On nice days, I slap on my running shoes and run the 2 miles to work. I bring my work clothes with me in a bag. Yes, I work retail. Yes, I'm a college student. But I'm also a married mother. That money that I'm saving on overpriced gas goes for college, food, and fun stuff for my family. So yeah. When that crap hit more than $2 a gallon, I said peace out to frivilous trips to the car wash and what not. Funk that. I'm not trying to look cool for anyone.
Hope this helps.
