Can anyone tell me the legal requirements for the position of trailer lighting?

Question:
I am currently building a trailer, and can't seem to find any information regarding the legal requirements for the position of the rear lights. Obviously, they go on the back of the trailer(for you wise asses) but are there any regulations governing the height from the ground or the size in from the side of the body etc.

when driving on cruise control does it waist more gas than not using it ?

Anyone got any ideas?

you just need two tailight assemblies and one lic plate light, they can below the tailgate, on the tailgate or even on the fenders.

well bob we have a winner here , ? have you ever seen a trailer with lights I have five and the red lights are on the back behind fenders both sides, have some .you can buy at you favorite wal mart store called TRAILER LIGHTS with wires that go to the tounge of trailor. and zippy tye wires to the frame , I hope this helps you out of the forrest.

so long as they are right at the back and as close to each corner as possible i dont believe ther is a particular height they have to be at, they have to be as near the corner as possible so approaching vehicles can judge the width of the trailer as accurately as possible.
