Question:
I have a 99 mustang convertable and a cb radio does any one have any good ideas as to where to mount it? I know it should be mounted on glass and not the front windshield but all the rest of the glass goes down and into the car so those will not work. I was thinking down under the car like behind a front or rear bumper but will that work? Any other ideas as to where to put it would where it will work?

Try this: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/store...They used to sell an antenna that had a splitter so you could receive radio and CB signals simultaneously without a secondary antenna. It simply installs in place of your existing radio antenna.
I had mine mounted on the deck lid rear center rear edge with a CB antenna mounting clip, no holes were required, locked in with 2 allen screws
the CB antenna needs to be up and down you can mount it on the rear bumper or the trunk if you mount it on the trunk you need a mag mount and the good ones are at the CB shop

Depends how tall the antenna is. If you go through drive thru's frequently, you do not want it to hit drive thru structure as it could over time eventually weaken it. If you mount it hidden behind something, it will not transmit or receive very well, reducing the distance you can talk to others considerably.
The best place would probably be to mount it to the trunk lid with a trunk mount antenna.
You could also use a magnetic based antenna to attach it to the trunk. It will not be permanent, and won't leave any holes or indentions from the mount, but it can scratch the paint and the reception still isn't as good as a standard mount.

The advantage to the glass mount over a standard mount is you don't have a large obvious antenna sticking off your car, just a smaller more discreet window antenna that is slightly larger than most cell phone antennas.
