Economy wise Diesel today is a by-product of making High Grade Fuels like Jet fuel, air plane fuel, and race fuel's. So they make it and is really leftovers. And has the same or worse impact on the earth if not Burned off.
Bio Diesel is no better than regular diesel all comes down to what you make it out of.
