they keep UV lights off and helps keep the heat to minimum. but parking in hot sun for 6 hours will still cause car to interior to heat...not to maximum but you'll feel it.Top 10 cars that are pulled over?

They don't work for crap, IMO. I lived in Miami for 10 years and often had a car where the A/C stopped working.
As long as you are parked where the sun primarily comes through the windshield, they do a decent job. If much sun comes in through the side windows or the rear window, they aren't much help.
Yes. Until recently, I lived in Central Florida, and I always used mine. Granted, your car won't be cool as a cucumber, but it will be better than letting the sun blast through your unprotected windshield.
