ok so my brother was driving my bfs car and we were making a left turn. the light turned yellow and i told him to stop cuz he did have enough time but he didnt. he had entered the crosswalk when it was yellow and the rear tires hit the last line of the crosswalk when it turn red. there were cameras up on top. so i gotta kno if that was considered running a red light. im from "silicon valley" area so there are pretty much cameras on the all expressways

Yes it is running a red light. With the cameras you only have the chance if while you are crossing the light when is green and then turns yellow, but if it is yellow and then it turns red you do not have a chance you will receive a ticket over the mail in about 2 weeks.
