Yes I would. They are MUCH more expensive than normal cars. The maintenance alone costs three times what the maintenance on a regular car costs. You really don't save a dime, even if the car is a bit more fuel efficient.However, I do feel that I need to do my part for the environment. Also, I have had the pleasure of driving a Toyota Prius on numerous occasions (company car!). It handled better than anything I've driven. It had just as much power and accelleration as anything I've ever driven. It was a pleasure to drive.

Well, I'm not entirly sure if I'd want a hybrid yet. Three years from now there will be more compelling evidence that the hybrid technology will be able to last. Right now, I would buy a diesel car... It gets great gas mileage(much better than regular)...like a VW TDI, VW's are cool. Get one when you turn 16....Cheers

NO! i personally do not believe they can be made safe under certain accident conditions the storage batteries are expensive to replace and present their own recycling problems, the high voltages involved are a continued concern for fire and rescue personal after an accident and while some will quote to you how the factories have paid for so much training no one in my rural community has had any. . the stooges who believe that the engineers who have designed these systems have created a fail-safe design need to take the Titanic, Hindenburg, Space Shuttle , etc.disasters into considerationNO
