Firstly the pedal may be very high
Secondly you can have issues engaging gears
and thirdly if the clutch is slipping, you should whilst driving along engage a higher gear earlier then you would normally, then accelerate hard, if the engine revs go up but your speed doesnt your clutch is slipping and needs replacing
In my dodge neon, my fm radio does not work but my am does?!?!?
Slipping. The engine will race but the truck won't respond as it used to. Usually occurs on hills in the beginning. Why is it illegal to park in a handicapped parking space but its ok to use a handicapped toilet?
grinding sounds,,,won't go in gear,,,pops out of gear and my favorite is the new smells you smell,,,,,,,,,,,,good luck,,,,really is not that hard to do manuel tranns,,,,I've done it and rear endsDo alot of people like lifted truck?
I agree with the above answers. The clutch will slip as you put a load on it. I usually go ahead and replace the throw out bearing and the pressure plate at the same time so I don't have to go back in and do it again any time soon.1. Worn clutch will NOT cause shifting problems like someone suggested.
2. When the engine is racing, and the vehicle is not "responding as it used to" is the last stage.
3. I agree that in most cases clutch will "grab" when the pedal is high but on newer vehicles with automatic adjustment, it may not be the case.
4. Slippage first starts in the highest (4th or 5th) gear. At that point, it must be replaced ASAP.
