What are your views on the Hazard Perception part of the Theory test for driving a car?
What is the deal with people putting $1000 rims on a piece of crap car?
I passed mine yesterday but only just the HP part of it. Personally, I think it's the stupidest exam I've ever taken. There are so many hazards on the road and you have to pick out the one that is the worst and click as it develops? What the hell?

i did the HP test, whihc i thought was totally and utterly pointless, you can tactually expect to pull out hazards frm the street unless you're actually driving, a test on a computer to clickcant justify how good you actually are. they need something more solid, an obstacle course, where you drive thru if they are going to bother witha stupid test ilke this.I am going to mammoth from march 30 til april 1...do you think i need tire chains?

Glad that you passed your test.Just think of the poor slobs who have a hard time passing it.Your right about the hazard.But be sure there are many more that you will experience.This is just to give you a taste of what can happen while driving.So do drive carefully and never be in a rush.When that light turns green.Do not be in a hurry to pull out.I have seen many people run a red light.I'm afraid I'm too old (or is that more experienced) to have taken the new test...however as an experienced driver I have to say that the hardest part of driving is to anticipate hazards..I have driven with many drivers who just do not see the road ahead...they look, yes, but don't actually appreciate what is going on...how many times have you seen cars speeding past a young child who is running alone along the pavement? If the child ran out everyone would assume it was the childs fault, but was it? Practice anticipation and it will make you a far better driver.
I am Italian and i am now in Michigan for 3 months as tourist. Can i get a driver's license here?
the hazard preception is not stupid its there to test your ability to recognise the hazards early enough to avoid collisions and accidents,you may come across in a real car.if you think its not important maybe you shouldnt be driving at all
