Can I place my external EZ-Pass tag on my back plate instead of in the front?

Question:
I just saw someone the other day, it looked to be a Lincoln Town Car, and the driver had the EZ-Pass on the back license plate.. has anyone ever done this? I want to because it would look a lot better there.

If you put it on the rear of the vehicle it won't be read going through the EZ pass lane. there is an option to put it on the front plate, I believe it's actually a different type of tag, not the same one that's on the windshield
