your asking if you check your blind spot. yes it is a very good thing to do, you never know when some idiot is going to sit there in your blind spot and hide. so if you look and make sure its clear, you wont have the chance to be responsible for an accident. this technique is very good with watching out for motorcycles since streetbikes are very hard to notice right next to you. and think if you hit them, they are dead. thats not something you want.no just mirrors, looking over shoulder would cause me to drive blind depending on my speed, an that could cause an accident!
