That is the size of the engine. Why does my car 'jump' when I accelerate?
Convert the 2.5 liter to CU.IN.(if your in the U.S.) and thats the size of the area that all the cylinders in the engine displaces. The larger the area of displacement the more powerful the engine.what does DOHC and VTEC mean on engines exactly?
It means you have a relatively small engine which is aprox. 150 cubic inches total.how many milliters are in a liter?
Its the total amout of engine displacement. Simply put its a cubic metric amount that all the cylinders displace (move ) combined. Mind you that its the amount of the stroke (piston travel) of each. Say you push a piston from its lowest point to its highest inside a tube (cylinder), only so much air/fluid/energy will be displaced due to the occupied space it traveled. So its not actually relative to the whole cylinder area like most assume, only the area where piston travels.
