VOLVO V40 alarm?

Question:
Can anybody tell me if it's possible to disable the alarm sensors inside a Volvo V40 (1998 S-reg) incase I want to leave my dog in the car ? If I leave her in the car with the alarm activated, after 30 seconds it goes off as it senses movement inside the car, most annoying as I cant take the dog anywhere if it means I can't leave her in the car for more than 30 seconds! She is very unhappy about this as she has to stay home more and as she has separation anxiety, she behaves better if she isn't left at home. She loves being in the car.
Any help would be appreciated.

We have the same car. The easiest way we have found to get round it is don't use the remote to lock the car, use the key, this way the alarm isn't armed but the car imobiliser still works and our dog doesn't set it off. Hope this was of some help.

There's a single rectangular button on left hand-side of central stereo unit - I think picture of car. Before you open doors press this and faint red light will come on. Then get out and shut doors. Press alarm on key fob. Doggie will not set off alarm as only exterior. If you open door before pressing button then it won't work. Get back in shut doors properly. Press button to set, then get out!

Just to let you know you can lock the vehicle buy the key and the alarm will not be set but the doors will lock and the led my flash depends on modle

In Virginia, is it legal for a 15 year old driver with a learner's permit to drive with a drunk adult?

best to just lock it with your key now one will try and get in with your dog being in inside your car unless she is a small dog
