Question:
Here in Toronto, Canada, just after a shortage of gas from a refinery fire and a rail strike, the March break exadus just started and since most Canadiens don't have a passport (this is U.S. homeland security's measure) we have to drive. Gas is at a all time high! Is this not gouging or what?
Answers:
- fire takes place in Nanicoke causing a shortage for only 70 Esso stations

Who wants to go for a spin in My Oscar Mayer wienermobile?
yet, all gas stations are charging $1.04/litre? Oil prices are sitting at around $61 a barrel and the price is this high?? The last time we saw gas over a dollar, oil was selling for $72/barrel. There are those who will suggest that the high prices are based on higher demand, but that's nonsense. There is definite gouging/collusion going on..gas is the regular only commodity that can fluctuate like this. Can you imagine if Tim Hortons changed their prices on a daily/hourly basis based on higher demand?
