In the big trucks?

Question:
can you tell me the advantages of gasoline & diesel that power the trucks?

Answers:

do four wheel drives need chains?

Diesel Engines operate at a lower RPM range reducing stress on the engine. Diesel fuel burns much hotter than conventional gasoline, and provides much more 'low end' power without creating the problem of carbon build-up. All in all, diesel engines are more efficient because they don't turn as fast and burn fuel as fast. The typical diesel engine (Cummins N14, Detroit 60 Series, Cat 3406 series) redlines or 'maxes out' at about 3000rpm whereas the engine in your car won't do so until about 5500 rpm typically. Another way they're more efficient, diesel fuel is actually a biproduct of the process of making gasoline, the engines give a way to get rid of it economically rather than just letting it burn up.

torque and economy...

How can you find out how much a traffic violation cost like parking on private property or running a red light

its like this if you carrying something super heavy disel if you want spped gas.. diseil has more strenthg and less speed, gas has more speed and less power... why let me tell you i took a big gas truck full of bricks up a hill barely made it.. but the disel my friend brought to help did it like nothing, they were both dogede by the way ok hope this helps.

Thoughts on ultra low sulfur diesel...?

In a large truck, a Diesel engine is more efficient due to the fact it can produce more horsepower and more importantly more torque.

Why european license plates are so ugly?

Gasoline Engines are 'spark ignition' Diesel Engines are 'Compression Ignition'. A diesel engine is able to produce more torque at lower engine revs( it can pull more weight, really basically speaking, than a gasoline engined truck would) the engine is simpler in construction and more robust compared to a gasoline engine, meaning it will last longer, need less fixing usually than a gasoline engine, needs less parts changing during it's regular overhauls. It is generally speaking the better choice for a heavy goods truck and the company running them
