Question:
If I use premium gasoline instead of regular, the performance of the car will be better?
Answers:
In my dodge neon, my fm radio does not work but my am does?!?!?
So so slightly, yes. It is an insignificant gain though. Higher grade gasoline is to prevent knock and detonation in engines. If your car needs regular, you would be wasting your money with premium.Does anyone know where some good ( mean like rele good) web sites for motor swapping?
Not really. You will have more antiknock compounds in the fuel. but that doesn't matter, because your car doesn't have the high compression to need it and it won't knock anyway. Good luckof course premium!!!! some cars require you to pump premium... but if you are driving a honda or toyota, whats the point of pumping expensive? the car is cheap anyways... not going to change performance much. if you drive a benz, it is vital to pump premium. i suggest shell v-power gasoline. its the best ever!
If you bring your dog in a car with leather seats will they wreck the seats in any way?
maybe maybe not.try it and see. What car is that commercial for?
It has a higher octane level, meaning it's supposed to give your car more spunk than the other levels, my feeling is check your manual and see what it calls for. It is usually 87 for regular cars and sports cars are higher and so is the cost. It doesn't mean that your car won't drive any better, doing maintenance to your car does.YES IT IS BETTER FOR THE CARS ENGINE AND YOU WILL GET BETTER GAS MILAGE TOO AND YOUR ENGINE WILLLAST LONGER TOO . HAVE A GREAT DAY ....
What gas brand is the best for cars?
No it wont, unless your manual calls for it. I tried a tankful of premium before, it didnt do jack squat, I put regular in the next tankful and it actually felt a little bit smoother. What type of vehicle do you prefer/like the most/crave to buy? Why?
Your car only requires a higher octane gasoline if it knocks or pings. Otherwise you are just waisting your money. Why does my car keep shutting off?
Some engines may cause the air/fuel mixture to ignite before the piston is in the proper position due to the heat and high compression of the engine. This is called pre-ignition and is very bad for your engine. The mixture is actually exploding before the spark plug fires. A higher octane gasoline is less explosive than regular gasoline and is less likely to ignite until the spark plug fires.
It is best to follow your manufacturer's recomendations.
What is a good name for a converted school bus?
depends what state your from,,,i know in the state of Maine they sell premium gas,,but its actually mid-grade,,why? i don't know its the law they can do it,,,so be careful,,,i know because my friend owns a service station and let me in on the info,,,Why is the spelling so so poor in the cars section of Yahoo?
Check to see what your manufacturer recommends. However, I would recommend trying a few tanks of the great stuff and keep track of your mileage. Go back to the regular stuff and see what your mileage is then. Then figure out how much you are paying for the fuel and make your own comparison.
Jet Wash in Beckenham/Bromley?
It just gives a little more pep to your car. Just find out what is the fuel grade recommended for your car is and use that. Premium is more expensive than regular.performance? gives you a little push. you'll notice a bit when you run @ high rpm.
Help! Driving test a week on friday!!?
fuel wise, it might be able to save you more $ @ fuel cost.
heres my explanation:
low octane, weaker therefore need to step on the gas deeper before reaching your standard speed.
high octance, stronger therefore you'll be at your desired speed quicker before you let go of your gas pedal.
try this, this is what i do.
fuel up when the car shows that your low in fuel (usually a yellow light in the dash board). fill the car lets say $20. then record how far you've been until your car says it low on fuel again. then this time try the other octane. fill it up again with $20 dollars. and see which octane will give you more millage not more gas. you get the point.
Semi / automatic cars and the law (UK)?
It ought to be a better running car if you use premium gas... The gas has a higher octane rating and that make it burn hotter... more bang for your buck.[][][] r u randy? [][][]
