I've always driven cars with automatic. I've had friends try to teach me the basics for driving stick shift. However I feel like I need more practice. Any help recommending a driving school which teaches stick shift is much appreciated!

I learned in a parking lot. You just need to learn to coordinate your feet and watch your rpms. I helped someone learn one time not in the car. By practicing in a chair. Build up your confidence first. Just remember, start in first and when you hear the engines rpms get louder let off the gas, push in the clutch and slowly give it gas as you slowly let off the clutch. Don't bother with down shifting when you come to a stop. Just put it in neutral and apply the brakes. Once you get the feel of it you'll learn to shift and move faster. Especially after people start to honk at you. However if your real bad expect to need a new clutch soon. Another tip is to have the person who's helping you get out of the car.driving school
If a car parking ticket has incorrect details on it about your car, can it invalidate the fine?
Note; There is a small problem with having a friend teach you and that is they may teach you wrong and you end up holding the bag. Example he doesn't see you riding the clutch to long and you end up burning up a clutch, very expensive. You are better off spending a few dollars and learn the right way at a driving school
