My answer is so general in nature that it's not even funny.

Is it fun to run in to a car and have you ever do it?

Basically all cars whether gasoline or diesel or biodesel or natural gas etc. use an internal combustion engine to convert the fuel by chemical reaction into a more desirable form which is motion/torque etc.

What gases come out of NEW diesels.?

there's just way too much to explain here. i would start with this site and work from there. it will help explain things alot easier for you good luck to you. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/

Why do corollas and civics have rear spoilers?

Vehicles are not a simple object. I'm currently in training on becomeing an automotive technician. It is a 4 year course for a basic understanding on generic makes. Basically, the course I'm taking gives you the basic knowledge to understand the principal of how a vehicle/vehicle componant works so you can figure out the problem, or what needs to be done. After I finish the 3 years I have left, I'm planning on taking some more advanced courses. Its not a simple task of learning how a vehicle works. If you really want to know the basics, look in a book store for a generic automotive text book (don't look for manufacture specific, as they will only deal with thier products, and products very from manufacture to manufacture)

The simplest way, as already stated, a fuel is burned in an internal combustion engine to convert chemical engery into mechanical energy. Energy can be neither created nor distroyed, only converted from one form to another. Fuel in injected into the combustion chamber and the combustion chamber is what gives the engine the "bang". the fuel is ignited (via spark plugs, or glow plugs) which forces the piston into the bottom dead center position, once its at that position, the only place it has to move is up, so with the rotary motion of the crank shaft it forces the piston into top dead center, where the explosion forces the pistion to move back to bottom dead center, and so on and so fourth. I have left out the valves, and the rest of the very complicated system as this all gets very overwhelming. This is a very basic outlineing of a very basic engine, and even then, its been shorted, and steps have been left out. the simplest way, is fuel is burned from a chemical energy, to create mechanical energy. I would highly recomend getting a text book, a good text book will run about $100 - $200 new, you may be able to find them in a used book store, but they are a rarity. Sorry I can't be any more help.
