It's like a flipping sound when you put a baseball card in your spokes... it started when I was driving home from Vegas (to L.A.). I have also noticed that it dosen't have as much "get up and go" as before (but it couls be because I'm low on gas).

If you truely do have water in you oil, you have problems and if you continue to drive the car, you will have BIG $$$ problems. Your oil will look milky if this is so.The noise * could be * your hydraulic lifters that are not functioning properly because of the 'emulsion' of the oil and water mix. Lifters not functioning properly will certainly cause power / performance loss.

At any rate, find out where the water is getting into the oil, probably the head gasket is shot.

I would be more worried about the water in the oil. It is very easy to tell if there is water in the oil. Pull the dipstick out and if it looks like a chocolate milkshake you have water in the oil and some major engine work will need to be done. If the oil on the dipstick is just black or dark brown it should be ok. If the oil is black or dark brown but is way over the full mark there could still possibly be water in the bottom of the oil pan. Make sure the oil is a good color and is the proper level.
