Question:
hi,there. Today I received a letter from 'Safety Camera Partnership' concerned about a overspeed offence. The letter said that at 17:10 on 21st Feb. 2007, at location A1 road Cockburnspath, Berwichshire by traveling at 93mph.
However, from 31st Jan. 2007, I have no longer be the keeper of that vehicle. I sold this car to a trader and posted a yellow slip from V5 to DVLA. And I have received the confirm letter said 'thank you for telling us that you are no longer the keeper of or have crapped the vehicle with the above mentioned registration mark. I can confirm that we have updated our records'.
Therefore, I don't know why they give me that charge on that vehicle which no longer be mine. Did anybody experience such thing?

I can't find my counterpart (paper part) of my provisional driving license - Got test in a day!!?
In your NIP there should be a form to send back saying how you wish to proceed, whether it is by pleading guilty, or not guilty etc. Send it back as NOT guilty and enclose a copy (not the original) of the letter from the DVLA. Say also where you sold the car to giving their address details, and copies of any paperwork that you have to help prove it.They can then check with DVLA as to when the car was transferred, and also check with the trader through his paperwork as to who the new owner might have been. It will probably have been a mechanic going to the chip shop at lunch time and just used your old car.
Who was the first person to have a car tire puncture?
it's a mix upWhy do pumps in Gas Stations carry a number?
well its a mess up but why did they think the car was scrapped as long as you still have there confirmation that you notified them you have nothing to worry aboutIf you have copies of all the documentation, you should be ok
What is in your car that is....?
i own a repair shop, and i agree that is a strange thing, technically they cant give you that charge because you are not the legal owner of the vehicle any more,id get in touch with them ,and make sure they got this straitened out, that's kind like something that happened to me once, i got a ticket that was 4 years old from a state i was never ever in,come find out there was more than one person with my first and last name, and this person had also moved to Tennessee, and they made a big mistake, you need to get the took care of though, the longer it goes the harder it is to straiten out, good luck on this one,i hope this helps. What is the worst kind of driver?
not strange.the ticket went through the system before the lazy people at the DVLA typed in the change..Where can I find a neon green (non-fuzzy) steering wheel cover?
get is sorted straight away...if you leave it ,,they can convict you in court without you even being there.& that takes a lot more time to get sorted..
What should i expect to pay to have my 2 front windows tinted on my dodge durango?
I wouldn' worry about it you ahve the confirmation letter to prove it wasn't you.Do static cling car decals really stick??
It's clearly what I believe is known as a "****-up" within DVLA. The person who's job it is to acknowledge the advice notices has done his/her job properly, the person who's job it is to enter the data into the computer hasn't.Why do buses have a flat front window?
Daft though it may seem, don't ignore it or you might find yourself in trouble through no fault of your own - the SCP may take you to court on the basis of the inaccurate DVLA database. Contact the SCP pdq & tell 'em.
