Anyone know how a 2001 Buick Century drives in snow?

Question:
I'm moving back home to Colorado next week and my current car drives horribly in the snow. My mother has a 2001 Buick Century and she was mentioning we could trade cars for awhile until summer. But I don't want to do it if the Buick isn't gonna do well in the snow. So, if anyone has any experience with this car in the snow any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Any front wheel drive car like that should do well in the snow if it has good tire tread, especially on the front tires. The heavy engine sits in the front right on top of the drive axles. Don't spin the wheels up over 25 mph if you get stuck and they're just spinning around while your trying to get traction. You could take a small shovel and bag of sand with you. You need a good windshield ice scraper and fill your windshield wiper fluid up. Put a warm blanket or sleeping bag and some snacks and drinks in the car. Make sure you have the car checked out before the trip and bring your cell phone with you for sure. Make sure the spare tire is inflated and you have the jack and wrench for the tire lug nuts. Bring a good flashlight.

my mother had one... it drove fine in snow ( she lives in Maine so she knows snow...lol ). It is a front wheel drive which is much better than rear wheel drive in the snow.

While the condition of the car is certainly something to think about, the skill of the driver is just as important, if not, more so.
