I own a 2007 ford f150 with 255/70/r17 tires. Is it safe or possible to install 265/70/r17 tires?

I am very disappointed with the lack of tires available for my new truck. I have searched major manufactures and found approx. 4 tire manufactures that make a tire in this size. My truck is a four wheel drive and I am seeking an aggressive all terrain to install. Have found a much better selection in the 265/70/r17 size. If this is not recommended, can you suggest a different size that would work with my rims?

If you were to go to an experienced and reputable tire shop, where that's all they do, they can find good sized tires to match up with your current rims. If they have to MAKE the tires fit, a.the tires are too big, and b. they don't know what they're doing. Try NTB, or Firestone.

265 is only slightly wider than 255 (10mm wider). They will work fine.

yes you can put those tiers on your rims they will be wider but the rims will safely hold them.

See your manual and talk to the service mgr. where you bought the car. One size up shouldn't hurt but what about steering, handling, and fender well clearance ?
