There are alarm systems available. For a lot of money you could put a camera in there, but you risk it being stolen.When will we have hybrid cars which can be plugged in?

go to any auto parts store. they should have an alarm system that you can actually record your own voice and when the alarm goes off your message is heard by whoever is messing with your car.

Another option would be a silent alarm installed on your truck that automatically dials your home phone number from a cell phone you keep locked up inside the truck out of view. As soon as a person touches the body of the truck for 2 seconds or longer, the silent alarm would be triggered and you'd get the call from your cell phone. Then you might have a friend drive by to get the license number of the car they drive away in. Tell your friend not to get involved and keep his car windows and doors locked while he waits for them to leave the scene.
