I have a 1996 Chevy Silverado with a 5.7L Vortec engine with 250k mi and want to rebuild the engine for power?

Question:
I am looking for articles or information that built up an engine like this in stages with each stage showing the parts added, the HP&TQ results obtained and the cost of each stage. I know that certain magazines have these but can't seem to find any right now. I want to get some decent power increase rather than just rebuild it to stock specs. Does anyone know of any good 5.7L engine buildup articles or information that I could get a hold of ?

Depending on where you live you can goto your local hot rod part's dealer And ask them they will help you set up your 5.7 the way you want to build it. I used to build blower motor's for drag racing and tractor pulls.E-mail and tell me where you live and i could probably help ya out . It would take me a few day's but i bet ya i could spec one out fer ya and preatty much tellya how to do it.
