You don't say if you are wanting this to drive a semi so I am assuming you are,I came there from Dallas Texas to a driving school in San Diego and went to a truck school.Mind you now, I was 50 years old and had a regular CDL license for years but they changed the CDL Nationally and we all had to go to school to get it,! Then I found out that it cost a lot of money to go to this school and I floated a loan to attend it,The State of California has the best schools to attend and it took six weeks to finish and then the school supplied the truck to take the test in !If we were lucky we would pass the test and get our CDL,! Three people out of 45 got it and all of the rest of us failed,I returned to Texas and passed it here,A lot easier than California,! I hope this didn't discourage you,all I can tell you is that California is or was the toughest to pass than most other states,!go get your class a learners permit and then ask around at different trucking companies if they will teach you to drive (free) or go to a truck driving school( cost's money). I used to work for a company in California, and taught a lot of new (truck)drivers how to drive.
