Question:
Here are two from my Prius experience.
1. If you have a second, low mpg car, drive the hi mpg care whenever you can. Before the prious, we put 10,00 miles per year on each of two cars with equal mpg. Now we put 5,000 on the low mpg car and 15,000 on the Prius. It's like buying 1.5 Prius to replace 1.5 low mpg cars for the price of 1.0 Prius.
2. Our 2-year old Prius has depreciated much less than any other new car we have ever bought, by far. Those who buy now benefit from the small number of hybrids on the used car market.
Answers:
I have a couple prius-related suggestions.
How can I locate a specific rare car?
Run your heat as little as possible during the winter. In particular, for short trips(<5 minutes or so) if you didn't warm up the car, don't bother turning on the heat as it takes a long time to warm up. Running the heat makes the car run the gas engine a lot more than normal so it uses lots of additional gas.
What is your favorite Italian car?
Run your A/C during the summer on the highway instead of leaving the windows open, your mileage will improve.
on a two stroke engine why doesn't gas go out of the exhaust?
Keep your tire pressure in the normal limits, it ruins your mileage to have low tire pressure.
How is nitro methane fuel made and what is it made from? Where can I get detailed info?
Use an engine block heater in the winter, learn the "Pulse and Glide" technique that can yield amazing mileage in the right circumstances, and keep your car as long as you can. Also, inflate your tires to the maximum sidewall pressure (44psi) on the Goodyear Integrities.More Questions & Answers ...
