I have a 95 S10 Pickup that I drive daily. Can I change the ring and pinion in the rearend?

I'm trying to not have to push the truck to do 65 on the freeway but I dont want to put an overdrive or new tranny in it. The truck is a 5speed manual 4cyl 2.2L and it is pushing 3000rpm in 5th on the freeway at 60mph.

You also may not like the way a 4 cylinder truck drives with much more gear than you already have. You might want to see if you can find a compatible transmission with a longer fifth gear or a fifth gear that will fit in your current transmission.
