Hi ,The stuff you're looking for I believe is called "Lumiweld". It was invented by a metalurgist in Florida quite awhile back.
Its kind of tricky to use, but, with alot of practice you can get good results. The propane torch will work, if the piece is small, larger pieces will require OX-Actelyene. You don't put the torch to the rod, you heat the piece till the rod melts. Read instructions carefully. GB

I have some rods I bought several years ago called Miracle Rod. It was purchased at a model airplane show. I have not been able to find out where to get it though. There is a product called HTS 2000.
