I'd suggest sending your pictures to either a boating website, or a magazine like canal and rivervoat, and ask for an opinion there. Failing that, do any of the parts or fittings on the boat have names ir manufacturers plates on them ? you might be able to find an approximate age if you cross reference thier design and manufacturer.

Where did you get the boat ? does the former owner have any information ? try just asking around the boating fraternity, carry a picture with you... there's always a few ned's ( enthusiasts ) out there who know things like this. It's how I identified the year and model of my motorcycle when all I had was the engine with no engine number stamped on it, a frame with no number and a fuel tank. I ran into a guy who's wife knew a woman who's husband did paint-job's on petrol tanks, and he told me it was a Honda tank, I worked out it was a 250cc engine.... it went from there. It's kind of holistic.... it's all interconnected and it will come together from lot's of little bit's of information.

If it was made after 1973 it is supposed to have a manufacturers plate on the starboard transom with a VIN number that can be traced. There may be a plate located elsewhere with some info.How does a anchor keep a boat from drifting?
Are we talking about a sailboat? had chined? covered bow or stern? cuddy cabin? plumb bow?
this will take some investigation, but i think if you take it down to a local boat yard, they might have a clue as to what make and model it is
