How doz the Teleflex steering work on the outboard motor connection?

Question:
were it connect to the motor were the rod go's thur the tilt

Answers:

Can you take a freshwater boat into salt water?

It pushes thru from the starboard side of the tube to port thru grease seal at the other end. Attach the exposed end to the bolt protruding from the steering rod of the engine through the hole in the flat part of the steering cable end and snug the nut. Go back and tighten the large nut of the steering cable to the treads on the steering tube, apply grease at the grease fitting. It's that simple. I guess you have the other end of the cable to steering wheel under control . Is it the Rack or the Rotary type?.....Just reread your question, are you missing the steering rod to your motor or something?
