Question:
I live in michigan and I wonder how to winterize an outboard motor I know I have to put stabil in the gas but what else should be done? Is the job different on 2 strokes as opposed to four strokes?
Thanks for your time
Answers:
+ it will be just like the 2 stroke.
Stabil in fuel, Lower unit in water, start engine, run for a min. Unplug hose at tank, and place a key in the tank end of gas connection so it drains, run until engine stops. Make sure that cooling water was going through the whole time the engine was running. Take off cover remove spark plugs, spray in WD40, hand crank fly wheel a couple of times. Replace spark plugs. Drain all water. Leave engine in upright position, cover engine, and change lower unit lube in spring before start up. If your plugs were dirty change them too. GOOD LUCK
which department or authority would you report to if you seen a fishing boat dumping waste?
you have to drain all the water from the engine and replace it with anti-freezeany petrol stations open in hull today?
Disconnect fuel line, run motor until it quits. (Do NOT forget to use the earmuffs to provide cooling water or you'll take out your water pump impeller!) Remove spark plugs and use fogging oil in each cylinder. Replace spark plugs. Change oil and gear oil as used lubricants are quite nasty (and harmful) to leave in the motor over the winter. Add fuel stabilizer to the FULL fuel tank. Cover motor and you're done!Does anyone know the approximate weight of a fiberglass camper shell?
Good Luck!
Does anybody know of a boat motor for a raft that is good?
