Does anyone know where i can get bingal housing for an Alpha II fishing boat?
I have been around boats for 16 yrs I fish the rivers in Ohio with strong currents my recommendation would be to go to a high hp such as a 9.9 or 15hp. the Briggs 5 horse is OK but i don't believe you will be happy. its okay for small lakes with no current or light winds.Basically its a cheap outboard, honestly I don't believe it will do what you want without working itself to death.... there are alot of good older outboards out there for sale cheap!!
what size prop would be best for a 175 evinrude on a 20ft boat with a sixty gal fuel tank?
The new b.s.engine hasnt been out long enough to know much about.A16ft i guess jon boat is pretty heavy. It will push it okay. But i always like to have a little extra power if i need it for bad events.I would look for a 9.9hp or higher.I used a 6hp on a 14ft and hardly pushed it.In fact i have another 6evenrude i'll sell you cheap.Any way your choice. How many knots, per mile per hour? Knots=MPH?
i can tell you what you need to know. all the b&s outboards vibrate like hell. 5hp is not going to work on a 16' boat unless you're in your bathtub. if money is an issue, call dealers 'til you find someone who will work a purchase deal for you & get a 15-25horse....maybe used if it's less than 10 years old. lol. What is the Bernoulli's effect on two ships sailing in a narrow channel?
