I just purchased a 1987 Bass Tracker Bass Boat, While I had some electrical problems I have worked most of them out rewiring the entire boat. I was wondering if anybody knew if there is a manual for this boat? I was wondering what the weight of this boat actually is?

The winch strap just broke a couple of days ago and now I need to put on a new winch. I want to make sure the winch I use is either the correct weight or higher.

Since you did not state the hp or length of the boat, you'll have to do it yourself. Go to www.nadaguides.com Look for the appraisal guides section, it is self explanatory. As far as the winch, Bass Pro Shops sells the same as Tracker marine. They can let you know which one you need.... As far as your next question about an "Anchor" , I have a (FX-7) 4 lb fluke with a 5', 3/8 stainless chain, that can hold my 16' aluminium CC Tracker steady in mud, in a 30mph wind. So it's not always about weight. hope this helps.....The 1987 TX 17' weighs 782lbs with the 50hp. The V weighs 1027lbs with the 50hp, just for example. Don't forget to add gas and cargo....My 16/17 Trail Star trailer, which came with the boat has a 1100 lb winch and strap. I'm weighing in at 840lb.

a 1400# winch & strap will hold any Tracker boat on the trailer. the manuals that came with the boat were merely safe boating manuals. they didn't have any diagrams, etc. go to trackerboats.com for the wt. if you really need it.
