looking for history and pictures of old owens yachts?
It would have to be a large fan in relationship to the boat, and the distribution of energy would be very inefficient since sails generally work on a principle of lifting the sail forward in much the same way a bird soars through the air. Transferring mechanical energy to air is very inefficient since air compresses and tends to dissipate energy quickly in all directions.Where would one go about selling a boat battery charger(used)?
It would be a much more efficient use of the electrical power to have it connected to a prop and transfer the energy directly to the water to propel the boat.
Where on the boat is the stern?
no ,it will not work because there would not be enough air movementlooking for sea ray elblems for the side off mt boat?
Yes, but it would go BACKWARDS! Newton's Law says that every action has a reaction. The fan IS an action. The sails in this case would only serve to counter the action of the fan. So the boat would slowly go backwards because the sails can't stop ALL of the wind genrated by the fan. You'd do better to turn the fan around and make an airboat out of it.Hi mate good question I tried this as a ruggy and it works just depends how big boat is. Model boat is ok But big boat not so ok fan size also a big factor.
Happy sailing,, try and make sure all good fun, Cheers.
After they make Styrofoam, what do they ship it in?
attn; Suspender your very dumb if there is an equal and oposite reaction the boat would be still in the water. but to answer the questioon depending on the size of the fan the boat would move that is a way a sea-doo or other persinal watercraft movesMost boat owners name their boats.?
Theoretically yes. If you mount the fan on the port or starboard bow facing aft it would blow over the sails like the wind. The problem comes in the form of the size of the fan needed to move the boat. what size would work I don't know build your self a model sail boat out of a plank and a pole put on some sails put on a electric fan you know one of those tiny personal ones and test your theory by cutting the blades down until the boat won't move any more and you will have your own answer.Where is and how do I change the oil on a 50 hp mercury engine?
